Division of Endocrinology at Mount Sinai Celebrates the Lifetime Achievements of Dr. J. Lester Gabrilove
On Tuesday, October 1, 2013 the Division of Endocrinology at Mount Sinai celebrated the lifetime achievements of Dr. J. Lester Gabrilove, on the occasion of his retirement. Dr Gabrilove, after whom the Division is named, spent nearly his entire career at Mount Sinai for seven decades. He is one of the fathers of modern endocrinology and has made seminal contribution to the field, including publishing the first book on adrenal diseases. He published continuously from 1941 to 2010 in top medical journals. The event celebrating Dr. Gabrilove’s lifetime achievements was a moving event to all members of the Division, all of whose careers have been profoundly influenced by him.
"All of us in the Endocrinology Division have affection and great respect for my mentor and that of others. Many more years of health and joys, Dr.Gabrilove."
